Dementia Awareness Resilience Education (DARE) Project.
- We received ‘Awards for All’ lottery funding to conduct a series of workshops and educational talks on dementia. We will continue to raise awareness this part of the year.
- We believe that health and wellness play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable members of society. To this end, we are raising awareness about dementia.
- DARE has been established in response to the growing concerns about dementia within our community. Our aim is to empower and educate individuals, fostering greater awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by South Asian elders in Leamington Spa. We will conduct our project at the Sikh Cultural and Sports Community Centre, as well as in other local areas, to inspire change and promote connection.
- We have already made progress, and our workshops are attracting a diverse range of interests and topics aimed at supporting caregivers and family members while raising awareness of related issues.
